i can haz tentacles?

More seriously, I'm an artist trying to make a living at it. Sort of succeeding. I'm inspired a lot by the ocean, sea creatures (especially those with tentacles), Cthulhu Mythos, science, and general geekiness.

Been a while but I just submitted a new sculpture. If you like her I'm going to be launching a Kickstarter soon to fund having her cast, both in regular resin that you can custom paint and in cold cast bronze. Keep checking back, I'm aiming for sometime in the first half of June.
Lady of Innsmouth by Noadi
Lady of Innsmouth
After over a year of work off and on I'm finally finished what is certainly my favorite sculpture I've done. She's sculpted mostly in a 50/50 mix of super sculpey and super sculpey firm with a little bit of epoxy putty here and there. She's 8 1/2 inches tall.

As the title suggests she's loosely inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's work though none of the Innsmouth folk were described as being beautiful or having tentacles for hair.

I'm going to be launching a Kickstarter to have her cast in both regular white resin and cold cast bronze resin. Keep an eye out here or on my facebook page facebook.com/NoadiArt If you want more information on what I plan to do with the kickstarter check out the site I set up here innsmouth.noadi.net/

Sanity Check Necklaces - Tentacle Wrapped D20s by Noadi
Sanity Check Necklaces - Tentacle Wrapped D20s
I've been wanting to do something gaming based for a while now. I've been playing tabletop RPGs since highschool (so about 15 years now). Considering my love for all things tentacles and Cthulhu this was really the obvious direction to go. Thankfully D20s do not melt at the oven temperatures needed to cure polymer clay, that would not have been a fun ending to this project. I've got a pretty wide variety of tentacle and die colors and they're all hung on black silicone cords.

The name is of course a reference to the Call of Cthulhu RPG.

These are of course available in my Etsy shop noadi.etsy.com

Hey everyone! I just launched an Indiegogo campaign so I can travel to 3 Comic Cons this fall and bring my art to more people. If you can contribute that would be awesome, if you can't please help spread the word. I'm looking at around $1400 in costs right now (if I stick to a very tight budget) and that's more than I make in an average month so I really need some help making this happen.

Ghost Clam by Noadi
Ghost Clam
Something a bit silly I drew last night. One of my good friends is with the Maine Ghostbusters www.facebook.com/mainebusters and they go in costume to events around New England and today they're at the Yarmouth Clam festival. When my friend was telling me about it yesterday I said "Have fun busting ghost clams!" then immediately thought: I wonder what a ghost clam would look like? The idea stuck in my head and late last night I was bored and just started drawing in GIMP. Here's the result.

Bastian and Teddy by Noadi
Bastian and Teddy
Bastian woke from his dream, a big scary knight had been charging straight at him. He clutched his teddy bear close. Teddy would protect him.

This dragon with his trusty teddy bear is 2.5 inches (6.36cm) tall. The original is sculpted in polymer clay. I then created a silicone mold from the sculpt and cast it in resin. Each cast piece has been given a metallic finish. Available on Etsy www.etsy.com/shop/Noadi?sectio…

Steampunk Octopus Sculpture Closeups by Noadi
Steampunk Octopus Sculpture Closeups
Closeup views of the Steampunk Octopus.

This was a custom sculpture request. It was a lot of fun to revisit the concept after a few years. The sculpture is approximately 8 inches tall with the octopus itself measuring about 5 inches across the widest stretch of the tentacles. I sculpted it in polymer clay with real watch parts in the head and one arm as well as a little "hydraulic piston" on another. A couple larger clock gears are featured on the wooden base.

You're probably better off watching me on Etsy, I don't update here on dA as often as I should.
