i can haz tentacles?

More seriously, I'm an artist trying to make a living at it. Sort of succeeding. I'm inspired a lot by the ocean, sea creatures (especially those with tentacles), Cthulhu Mythos, science, and general geekiness.

Rey - Kickass Women #2 by Noadi
Rey - Kickass Women #2
Second in my series of paintings a women from movies and television. I absolutely love Rey as a character, she is a survivor. The original Star Wars trilogy has been some of my favorite movies and the Force Awakens redeemed the franchise after how terrible the prequel trilogy was.

Original painting is acrylic on 9x12 Strathmore acrylic paper.
Imperator Furiosa - Kickass Women #1 by Noadi
Imperator Furiosa - Kickass Women #1
First in my series of paintings a women from movies and television. Furiosa was an obvious choice, she's probably one of the strongest and most fascinating female heroes in recent film.

Original painting is acrylic on 9x12 Strathmore acrylic paper.
The Lady of Innsmouth Cold Cast Bronze by Noadi
The Lady of Innsmouth Cold Cast Bronze
Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's the Shadow Over Innsmouth. I took his story as a starting point and thought what if the fear and hatred of outsiders was only due to their distrust of the unknown. The Lady is imposing and alien but beautiful, resolute in her defense and protection of her people.

The Lady of Innsmouth is an 8½ inch tall bust in cold cast bronze with a green patina. Cold cast bronze is a process that mixes real bronze powder with resin to give the look and feel of bronze with a lower cost as well as not needing a foundry.

Available on Etsy…

There's also a novella written as a collaboration with author Joshua Goudreau…
Embrace of the Deep by Noadi
Embrace of the Deep
A tentacle tightly grips a human heart. The last remnant of the sea's latest victim.

This 6.5 inches tall hollow cast resin painted in a faux bronze finish. The original was sculpted from Chavant NSP Medium. I made the mold with Smooth-On's brush on mold kit (which is a great kit if you want to do a brush on mold, Rebound 25 is a great silicone). Each one is hand rotocast using Smooth Cast 300 which is a trickier process than I expected but once you get the hang of it it's pretty cool.

Available on Etsy and also as unpainted
Final 5 hours for the Lady of Innsmouth sculpture on Kickstarter
